An introduction...

Pure Villa Bonnieux is a late 18th century traditional stone farmhouse located in the heart of the Provence’s Lubéron region.
The property was acquired by its current owners in 2011 and underwent three years of extensive renovation and restoration under the leadership of the famed French architect Hugues Bosc and the celebrated landscape artist Michel Sémini. The guiding principles of the restoration were authenticity, functionality, flow and comfort.

Set amongst nearly 20 hectares of its own lavender fields, this beautiful property has been restored to offer all the comforts of a modern luxury holiday home with the famous perched villages of Bonnieux and Lacoste and views of the Mont Ventoux as its backdrop.

The house is surrounded by a landscaped garden of one hectare (two acres), which includes a heated pool (18×6 meter) and its surrounding deck area. This place also offers numerous terraces and courtyards as well as several outdoor seating areas including an open fire pit, a built in BBQ area, and two fountains. Due to the lavender fields, the villa provides full privacy.

For children wishing to run around, there is a large lawn area designed for play. Available on site are two football (soccer) goals, a basketball hoop, table tennis table, six bicycles, and boules for “pétanque”, the traditional game played by locals. The outdoor is equipped with a Sonos Sound System.

The original exterior sandstone walls and traditional shuttered windows were restored while, indoors, guests will discover a combination of traditional architecture, regional old stone and antique timber beams with fresh, contemporary spaces punctuated by metal lintels, large glass framed windows and cement floors. Inside, the property boasts beautiful high-end finishes and decoration throughout.

The house comfortably sleeps 13+ adults in six bedrooms plus a family room, with a living space of approximately 500 square meters.

Sleeping arrangements: 1 King-size bed / 3 Queen-size beds / 5 Single beds. 

The Northern Wing comprises the main entrance, a living room and a library separated by a two-way chimney, and a double bedroom suite on the ground floor with ensuite bathroom (tub, double sink, shower and a toilet).
The living room and library offer multiple seating areas, high ceilings and oversized fireplace. The decoration is of very high standard and includes antique stone floors, art work, designer furniture and light fittings. The living room has a B&O Hi-Fi system.

On the first floor there are four bedrooms: one double queen room with ensuite shower room and one room with two twin beds with ensuite shower room. These two bedrooms share a separate toilet.
Furthermore, two other bedrooms (one double queen and one single twin bed) share a bathroom with large double sink, bathtub and glass shower curtain. Both rooms share a separate toilet.

On the second floor of the northern wing is a large playroom and dormitory. The playroom is completed with a large screen TV, a DVD player, Xbox, DVD Collection, a café style 1950’s table football, and can be converted into a dormitory with 4 beds.
This room has a large ensuite shower room with double sink and separate toilet.

The Southern Wing includes a 10×5 meter kitchen, a pantry and a back-kitchen as well as a full-sized laundry room on the ground floor, whereas the first floor is devoted to the Master Suite making up the entire length of this pavilion.
This suite has a walk-in closet and a marble clad master bathroom equipped with bath, shower and steam room, double sink.

The kitchen and its supporting back-kitchen and pantry is equipped with a Chateau La Cornue stove and boasts all the necessities a professional Chef might need (multiple fridges, two dishwashers, steam- and microwave ovens, gas- and electric ovens, wine fridge).
Last, there is also a fully equipped independent laundry room.

Both buildings are connected by a large Dining Hall, which has a beautiful large table that is perfect for indoor or formal dining. This dining room table can sit up to 20 guests.

  • Booking conditions

    Reservations are considered valid after receipt of a down payment of 50% of the total rental costs. The balance must be paid within 6 weeks before the day of arrival

    If your booking is made within 6 weeks before arrival, you are required to pay the full amount immediately. In case of cancellation more than 6 weeks before arrival 50% of the received down payment will be refunded. No refund will take place in case of cancellation within 6 weeks before arrival. We therefore recommend a comprehensive travel insurance.

  • Deposit

    A damage deposit of 2500 euros is required. If no damages are detected, it will be returned to you within a week after your return

Pure Villa Bonnieux is located in the Luberon countryside in Bonnieux – a village with authentic charm in the Luberon -, within easy reach of the villages of the Luberon so adored by travel writers, among them Ménerbes, Lacoste, Goult and Roussillon.
Beaumettes and Coustellet, small villages with a variety of shops, are less than ten minutes by car.

The property is likewise well located for excursions beyond the Lubéron. Aix-en-Provence lies to the south, the Cote du Rhone wine-producing region to the north, and the villages and restaurants of the Alpilles region to the southwest.
